• Act Books : These record details not always present in the will itself, including the testator’s date of death and the assessed value of the personal estate.
• Infra wills : An asterisk or italicised entry usually marks an infra will, meaning the personal estate was valued at under £40.
• Record types : Ad. or Admon. indicates an administration bond issued when no will existed, while Tuition refers to a guardianship bond for minor children.
